Prospects of RMG sector in Bangladesh

Garment Industry was launched in Bangladesh at around 1980 and now it is the main fuel of our economy. 81% of our exports are covered by the garment sector and it is one of the main portion of our GDP. During the fiscal year of 2016-17 we have earned 18,639 million USD from this sector. So from these point we can easily understand that we have great prospects in Garment sector. These prospects are discussed in the following section:

1. The government of Bangladesh is always very concerned about the growth of this industry and works as a catalyst whenever intervention is necessary in this sector.
2. Although people see our large population as a curse these large population aided us with cheap and regimented workforce which we are using properly in this field.
3. Today is the age of women empowerment. And our female folk has gifted us with a great achievement in the garment sector. It has been possible only because of them that we have claimed the position of 3rd around the world in this sector. 
4. The entrepreneurs around the country are using their dedication, motivation and creativity in this sector and thus making this sector more and more competitive and fruitful.
5. The products that we manufacture is rich in quality and it attracts the buyers to contact with us more and more and buy products from us on a regular basis. 
6. Another good sign is that we always complete our consignments in time which is one of the main agenda in this sector. This attitude has attracted the buyers most.
7. The import policy of Bangladesh is very flexible and friendly for import of accessories.
8. Although there are accountable anomalies, the financial institutions, both nationalized and private, have been serving to assist the sector.
9. RMG industries have managed to maintain the trust of the buying class and others in the business. 
10. Although our backward Textile industry is not adequate to support our growing RMG industry but still it is supporting this industry at its best.
11. At present, there are more that 26 lakhs of unemployed population in our country which we can use in this sector and increase our per capita income of our country.
    

Our country is still a low income country, and it is our dream to achieve the position of a middle income country within 2021 and it can come true only if we can encourage our RMG industry and take it to its peak.
